Lea

lea 1

Lea Methodist Church is a relatively new church, converted from a former lodge that belonged to the now demolished Lea Hall. The church opened for regular worship in 1951, and quickly became an integral and respected part of village life.

In 2017, with support from Lincolnshire Methodist District, the present congregation embarked upon an ambitious project to completely renovate the premises. By 2020, funding was in place and work began.

The resulting energy efficient building has a light, modern and calm feeling. It is available for groups or individuals to use for spirituality, creativity, art or simply as a quiet space for well-being in a busy world.

The Little Retreat is situated in its own community garden. The flower beds contain many plants named in the bible and a wildlife pond has been created.
Seating areas provide tranquil places for quiet contemplation.
The premises are adjacent to Lea Park, a large area of park and woodland with a children's play area, community orchard and woodland walks.
